Bagdhatis: Serbian players are my friends

When a few days ago, press announced that Cypriot player Marcos Bagdhatis will get a wild card for participation in Serbia Open, tennis lovers in Serbia were certainly happy, as he is the player who used to be in the top ten.
Always smiling and in a good mood, Cypriot stated that Belgrade is the place of his return.
- I feel as though I played only two matches in the last two years! My ranking was bad because l was injured and l did not play for eight months. I want to return, it is only May, my first goal is to be among fifty best players as soon as possible. – says Bagdhatis.
He is aware that the audience in Belgrade will be on the side of Novak Djokovic and other Serbian players. The draw is outlined in a way that there will be small chances for meeting with one of the Serbian players. The match with Novak is possible only in the finals. I played against Djokovic a few really amazing matches. Maybe I had the best opportunity on Wimbledon 2007, when we played five sets, but I have not use it. This season we played in Melbourne. I do not think that I wore him out that much, so that he could not stabilize himself against Roddick." – says Bagdhatis.
Novak is not the only Serbian player with whom Bagdhatis has a great relationship.
- Janko Tipsarevic is my good friend, Viktor Troicki also. When I was a boy we were in the same academy. I know many others, such as Renata Ljukovcan, and with all of them l was always on good terms. – says Marcos.

Many people think that along Novak, Marcos is a favorite for the finals.
